INTRAMURAL SPORTS INFORMATION

What are intramural sports?

Intramural refers to athletic competitions that are held on campus against students of the same school. These sports are held with the help of parent volunteers. Contact Chris Scott or Jessica Luna if you are interested.

What grade do I need to be in?

This year we are pleased to offer sport opportunities for students in grades Kinder through 5th.   Parents – Be sure younger age students are mature enough to participate in this extended program.  Also, check each activity for specific grade levels. Dodgeball & Track & Field is the only sport where grades 1st through 5th participate as a team.  All other sports are broken down into smaller grade groupings. Maximum of 25 Kindergarteners per season.

Participation/Discipline

All students must follow regular school rules while on campus and during intramural sports.  Crossroad’s athletics focus on doing everything in Jesus’ name. Our key verse is Colossians 3:17…”Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.”    All students will be taught that even in the heat of competition we strive to please Jesus by our actions.  Students who need additional assistance with behavior will be counseled.  Students who do not desire to improve may be disciplined or removed from the program.

Rainouts/Cancellation

Should a day be canceled due to weather conditions or poor air quality the date will be made up. An e-mail will go out letting you know when the make up day is going to be rescheduled to.

Dismissal Procedure

At the end of the activity, parents MUST pick their child up by checking out with the intramural staff member in charge of dismissal. Any students going to afterschool daycare will then be escorted and signed in to daycare at that time. Any remaining students will be walked to carline. If they are not picked up within 15 minutes, they will be checked into daycare and a charge for daycare may be applied.

How do I register?

Registration forms will be emailed to you 2 weeks before the sport starts. Download the registration form and fill the form out completely and turn it into your child’s teacher or the office along with payment.

All forms will go to Jessica Luna. – Athletic Office

What payments are accepted?

Cash, credit or checks “write checks to CCS”.  To use a credit card please register in the Elementary office. There are NO REFUNDS, if you choose not to participate in the sport after you pay, that credit can be used towards another intramural sport.
