About Our Program
CCHS provides a rigorous, college preparatory academic program under a Collaborative, 21st Century framework. Our academic environment is relational in nature where all curriculum is designed to reach the whole student – body, mind and spirit. Each year, learners will experience 8 thematic units, 4 per semester, under which a specific character trait will drive curriculum in each content area, and provide learners the opportunity to not only understand each character trait, but to have opportunity to live it out. CCHS also utilizes the flipped classroom model, through which learners access various assignments outside of class, through each content specific website, where they will be guided through gaining introductory or a deeper knowledge base of a specific concept. The following class period, the knowledge gained at home through flipped assignments (eLabs), is activated in a way where learners are asked to put that knowledge into practice. We believe that life experience is the best way for learners to truly learn and understand content, as well as make have opportunity to make connections and discover real world applications of content. It is our mission at CCHS to provide learners the opportunity to acquire the skills necessary to be successful in the 21st century and thrive in whatever they choose to do post-high school.
