Travel Teams

“Coaching, Cheering & Playing” …In Jesus Name (Colossians 3:17)

* Students must tryout for all travel teams.  There is NO must play rule on these teams.

Games & Practices

Practices will be set for each team by the head coach.  Most practices will be held on campus.  At times batting cages and/or Santana Park may be used.  Parents will be notified by email if coaches choose this option.

Jr. High teams typically practice 2-3 times per week.  Elementary teams 1-2 times per week.

Leagues & Divisions

Middle School Teams participate in the Mountain Valley Jr. High Christian League, a league made up of over 30 schools reaching from Hemet to Lake Arrowhead.  Our League Division is the Southwest Section made up of Crossroads, Riverside Christian, La Sierra Academy, Calvary Murrieta, Upland Christian, and Woodcrest Christian.   For some sports like soccer and flag football division teams change according to participating schools.  The MVCL is a competitive league run similar to a high school league with sectional champions, playoffs and all league championships.

4-5th grade teams play in the Inland Empire Christian League, which covers from Perris to Yucaipa to Corona. This program is a short development league to help students prepare for more competitive competition in Jr. high and high school teams.

Requirements

Attend all practices, carry a 2.2 GPA or better, reflect “Christ-Like” behavior on and off the field, get & make up all class work missed due to games. On game days, students must attend a least ½ of the school day in order to participate.

Drivers

Please let your coach know what days you can drive. Without YOU we would not be able to participate in league competition. You must complete & fill out sports team travel form with copy of drivers licence and insurance information.

Required Player Fee

There are required participation & spirit pack fees.  Player fees only cover part of the cost of participating in these leagues.  Spirit packs will incude team practice & game gear. Fundraisers and our intramurals help cover the remaining cost.  Fees must be paid within the given time frame.  Should you need to make special arrangement on player fees please contact Jessica Luna.  If arrangements are not made and fees are not paid, the player will be dropped from the team and an alternate player will be added.
