For those of you who are new, “Welcome to the family!” and for those returning “Welcome back to the awesome year ahead!” All our families K-12 are committed to serving and being part of the Crossroads community, which makes this so much more than just a school. Volunteering takes on all shapes and sizes depending on your passions and availability.
Just find a place and get involved! Check back often as new opportunities are added for each school. Links below have “place holder” sign-ups for now, until their upcoming events get closer. Families are invited to participate at any level that fits their gifts and availability, regardless of the grade their student is in. Teachers will share their class volunteer needs directly with their families via class or room parent email. Blessings!
Are the 20 volunteer hours per family or per student?
They are per family and may be performed by mom, dad, grandparents, aunts or uncles…
What do I do if I can’t make it to the event I am scheduled for?
Please let the coordinator know via email or phone as soon as possible. They are counting on you and will need to find a replacement.
How is CCS verifying our self-reported hours?
We are approaching this believing in the high integrity of our families and trusting in the “honor system”. This said, we do have ways of verifying hours if concerns arise. Our teachers and administrators will be able to view families’ service hours, so they can verify service and make sure all their families are finding opportunities to join in.
How do I “Buy Out” if I would prefer not to volunteer?
The last day to enter service hours for the year will be April 30th. At that time, any unfulfilled hours will be billed to your account 1hr=$10. (Service hours for the month of May can be logged in April if needed to count toward this year’s hours.)
