To ensure the safety of our campus community, CCS has implemented several important safety measures:
Raptor Visitor Management System
All parents, guardians, and visitors are required to check in through the front office using the Raptor Visitor Management System. This system helps ensure authorized access to campus through a secure screening process.
All parents, guardians, and visitors must submit their driver’s license to the front office for entry into the Raptor system at the beginning of each school year.
All parents and volunteers must be cleared through the CCS Raptor Security System. This requirement applies to all campus activities, including:
• Weekly chapels
• Classroom events
• Awards ceremonies
• Volunteer opportunities
• School programs and special events
On-Campus Security Officer
Our School Resource Officer, Officer Jason, is present on campus during school hours to monitor activity, provide support, and respond promptly to safety concerns.
Campus Security Cameras
Security cameras monitor key areas throughout the campus to enhance safety and provide ongoing surveillance.
Emergency Preparedness Drills
Regular emergency drills are conducted throughout the school year to prepare learners and staff for various emergency situations and to ensure everyone knows how to respond effectively.
Secure Entry Points
Campus entrances remain secured and monitored during the school day, with access restricted during designated times to control visitor flow.
Communication and Safety Procedures
CCS maintains communication with local law enforcement and emergency personnel and has established procedures for reporting and responding to safety concerns. As a faith-based community, we value the well-being of every individual and continually review and enhance our safety protocols to ensure a secure environment built on trust, care, and Christian values.
Thank you for partnering with us as we work together to keep Crossroads Christian School a safe and welcoming place for all.
VOLUNTEERING AT CCS
We warmly welcome parents and guardians who desire to serve through on-campus activities, special events, classroom support, and field trips. Volunteers are a tremendous blessing to our school community, and we deeply value the partnership between home and school. To ensure the safety of our learners and maintain a secure campus environment, all volunteers are required to complete the appropriate volunteer clearance requirements. Parent Volunteer Training dates and times will be published on the CCS School Calendar. These trainings provide important information regarding campus safety procedures, volunteer expectations, and school protocols to help ensure a safe, secure, and supportive environment for all students.
In accordance with California Senate Bill 848, adult volunteers who interact and work with students are also required to complete mandated reporter training. This training equips volunteers to recognize and appropriately respond to signs that a child may need support and is an important part of our commitment to protecting every Crossroads student.
