B.S. – California State University, Long Beach

Hello! This is Annette Montez! She loves to spend her free time singing, reading, and hanging out with family and friends. She went to school at California State University where she maintained a 4.0 GPA and majored in Liberal Studies. She is currently obtaining her Masters at Hope International University. You’ll most likely find her at Disneyland, the beach, TJ MAXX, Target, or home!

Annette has grown up around children her whole life and knows God blessed her with a passion and gift to work with kiddos. She loves to motivate and help her learners get a “light bulb” moment within their day. She has always been around children her entire life and knew God blessed her with a passion for teaching. Her mother owned an at home daycare which catered to children between the ages of newborn to middle school age. She also volunteered within the Children’s Life Department at Long Beach Memorial Hospital where she helped many of the children patients throughout their time there. Throughout her time in college, she would volunteer any extra time to assisting teachers in many elementary schools within the Long Beach Unified School District. She has substituted around the Long Beach Unified School District and Corona Norco School District for some time.

What does a God-first School mean to her? A God first school means everything to her. It means remembering we are all a part of the Body of Christ and should always be there for one another. It is important to have a strong community like this to pray and support one another. She loves God and is humbly following His plan and lead into this career opportunity. She can’t wait to see more of God’s beautiful work here at Crossroads.
