Ms. Penny is in her 33rd year with Crossroads Christian Preschool. After working as a Preschool Teacher and then moving to Assistant Administrator, Ms Penny became the director of the Preschool in 2007. In addition to her love of education, she enjoys reading, sewing and most of all, spending time with her two sons, two “daughters-in-love, and four grandchildren!
Ms. Penny has a B.A. Degree in Liberal Studies from California Baptist University and a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Hope International University. She has a passion for Early Education placing an emphasis on building a strong, developmentally appropriate program that will help develop a firm foundation and foster a love of education in our preschool learners.
What does a God-first School mean to her? Ms. Penny felt God’s calling to work in preschool shortly after the birth of her youngest son. She began pursuing her degree while working as a preschool teacher here at Crossroads Christian Preschool, continuing to seek God’s direction as she moved from preschool teacher to administration. Moving into administration allowed her to follow God’s prompting to lead teachers and minister to families while continuing to grow in the field of early education. Serving at a Christian school allows her to share the love of the Lord with others throughout each day, pray with staff and families and serve God in a field in which she feels so strongly called.
